GE Washer Motor Clutch - Genuine OEM WW01F01784

WW01F01784 GE Washer Motor Clutch – Fix Your Washer That Won't Spin, Spins Slowly, Makes Grinding Noises During Spin, or Leaves Clothes Soaking Wet

WW01F01784 GE Washer Motor Clutch – The direct fix for a GE top-load washer that won't spin at all, spins slowly (clothes come out soaking wet), makes a grinding, scraping, or squealing noise during the spin cycle, takes a long time to reach full spin speed, or smells like burning rubber during spin. The motor clutch is the mechanical coupling between the drive motor and the spin basket that controls the gradual engagement of the spin cycle. It uses friction pads — similar to brake pads — to progressively transfer the motor's rotational power to the inner tub. Over time, these friction pads wear down from normal use. As they thin, the clutch loses its ability to grip firmly, causing the tub to spin slowly or not at all. A severely worn clutch slips continuously — the motor runs at full speed but the tub barely turns, leaving clothes dripping wet after the spin cycle. The grinding or scraping noise you hear is the worn friction pads struggling to grip. A burning smell indicates the clutch is slipping so badly that the friction material is overheating. There is no way to repair or resurface a worn clutch — it must be replaced as a complete assembly. This genuine OEM GE part is a complete clutch assembly with new friction pads, spring mechanism, and housing. Fits GE, Hotpoint, and Kenmore top-load washers. 30–50 minute DIY repair.
