WPW10314173 Dryer Heavy Duty Drum Roller (Drum Support Roller, Support Wheel, Drum Roller)
WPW10314173 Dryer Heavy Duty Drum Rollers
The WPW10314173 is a genuine OEM heavy-duty dryer drum support roller used on many Whirlpool-family 27" dryers. These rollers support the rear (and on some designs, front) of the drum and allow smooth rotation under load. A worn roller develops flat spots, a dry/seized bearing, or wobble, which increases drag on the motor and belt and causes noise and poor tumbling. Symptoms typically start as a low rumble or thump and progress to squealing, binding, or intermittent drum rotation. IMPORTANT: Most dryers use two drum rollers—replace rollers as a set and inspect the shafts for wear. CRITICAL: Unplug dryer before servicing; cabinet edges are sharp.
